HERMetic Accessories for Marine Applications
Honeywell's HERMetic range includes portable hand dipping, gas sampling, and gas pressure measurement instruments designed for connection to all HERMetic compact valves.
What Is It?
The HERMetic range of marine accessories comprises the following:
- HERMetic DIP 2: A 500-mm long graduated DIP rod with a 30-m long stainless steel tape, designed for penetrating tank bottom sediments.
- HERMetic DIP 2 GT: A closed, gas-tight version of the HERMetic DIP 2.
- HERMetic OXY: Designed to determine oxygen levels (as per IMO requirements for Tanker Safety and Pollution Prevention) before crude oil washing. It samples inert gas (or other gas) over full tank height while preventing gas release.
- HERMetic Press: Provides reliable pressure readings within the range of 1500-mm vacuum and 2500-mm pressure water column.
- Adaptors for MMC & Tanktech Valves: Storage tubes and adaptors for HERMetic equipment (gauges and samplers) to connect to existing non-Honeywell valves onboard.
How Does It Work?
All HERMetic accessories connect to HERMetic compact valves via a 1-inch quick-connect coupling. Honeywell also provides adaptors for connecting to existing foreign valves.
